Learn to build and animate simple rod puppets. This type of puppetry can vary widely in its level of difficulty and complexity, from the simplest 2-D rod puppet to a more complicated 3-D piece with moving parts. Rod puppetry can be integrated into any curriculum to enhance learning and storytelling.
Is your class talking about family history, science or a wonderful story? Are you teaching a section on animals or heroes? There are endless possibilities for toy theatre to enhance your class’s curriculum, learning, and fun. Students will each build a small stage and puppets to bring a story to life with sound and movement.
Students will discover the vibrant and creative world of hand puppets in the art studios of a puppet theatre! Each student will build his or her own hand puppet and will be given great tips on how to bring it to life with sound and movement.
