Education: RESIDENCIES
School Residencies
Imagine your students creating a pageant on cultural diversity, the history of your town/school, or the issues of global warming.
For decades, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre has
been engaging students of all ages and abilities all over the Midwest
with its unique, interactive residencies.
- These hands-on projects make such topics as algebra, biology and history jump off the page or poster board and spring into 3-D technicolor!
- HOBT customizes every residency to complement and enhance your curriculum objectives. Our highly skilled artist /instructors will work with you and your students to create a group project from start to finish.
- Your group will learn to conceptualize, design and build a puppet parade, pageant or play, as well as to write, rehearse and perform.
- Residencies usually range from 5 to 10 days and involve a team of two artists for four contact hours per day.
- Fees vary based on duration. Minnesota K-12 public schools may qualify for a subsidy from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
- HOBT also offer curriculum-based residencies to accompany its Small Touring Shows.
