of heaven we ask for a place to stay...”
The Christmas Story as never done before. The story of the holy child being born in our midst – here in Midtown Minneapolis. This innovative holiday presentation combined puppetry, street theatre and a traditional Latino “La Posada” procession.
Audiences moved with performers among three different locations:

First, with “Maria and José” in the Mercado Central.

Next, across the street in the Avalon Theatre, with shepherds and star-seekers.

Then, in a colorful torch-lit procession, with Maria & José, looking for refuge down 15th Avenue to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where all were welcomed for the Nativity.

Finally, with the fiesta in St Paul’s Fellowship Hall - complete with music, food and games.
