Mask Making at a MayDay WorkshopWe make art out of many things. We like to think there's some magic in that: we start with mud, scraps, cardboard, newspaper, and create puppets and masks that come alive, tell stories, and welcome the sun and warmth back to our land.

However, it can be difficult to get our hands on all that stuff, especially in the volumes that are needed for MayDay.

Please contact us before bringing any donated supplies other than newspaper or paper bags, so that we can keep everything organized. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Other Ways to Help Create MayDay:

  • Volunteer - The annual MayDay Parade & Festival draws up to 50,000 people and couldn't happen without community involvement and volunteer help! HOBT produces this event with only a small core staff and about 160 volunteers. Your help is needed, especially on the day of the event.
  • Donate Dollars - We need support to produce this one-of-a-kind community event. You can donate online, or by sending this donation form through the mail.
