When we forget the water
We forget the child who begins in the water.
When we forget the child,
We forget ourselves
and then
We forget the world

florence dacey

Oh River!
That broke through stone and meadow and made a passage to the sea.

Great artery of the body of America.

Water Riddle

I am the earth's swift wet heart
I am the tide you must obey
I am the fog where you meet yourself
All things begin in me
I wash the world like a child's face
I am the tears that let you see
I heal all wounds
I am water

florence dacey

The river has no beginning
The River has no end
In its beginnining, it is not the river
In its end, it is not the river
